More Info
The Pillowman is a play by Martin McDonagh where a writer named Katurian is interrogated by two brutal detectives in a totalitarian state about his collection of disturbing short stories, which seem to eerily mirror a series of child murders happening in the town. This leads to a complex exploration of the relationship between art, violence, and the nature of creativity, while also raising questions about the power of the state to control artistic expression.
